Description:
ArchCommander is a tool that helps you handle your archive files. It allows for:
* browsing archives
* viewing files from archives in Quick Look
* opening files from archives in other applications
* unpacking archives
* searching files in archives
* creating new archives
* adding and removing items for existing archives
* protecting archives with password
* packing/unpacking directly from Finder (using Services menu)
ArchCommander supports the following archive formats for read-write (browse, unpack, create, modify) :
* zip
* 7z
* jar
* tar (excluding modification of existing archives)
In addition the following archive formats are supported for read-only (browse, unpack):
* rar, arj, lha, iso, xar, cpio, rpm, cab
* gz, bz2, tgz, tbz2, tb2, xz, z, taz, lzma
* vdi, vmdk, vhd, msi, hfs, fat, sfs, wim, chm
In addition to above, ArchCommander ships its own Quick Look plugin that allows you are display archive files content directly from Finder - just hit Space Bar.
