- New parameters: proxy-restricted-to-lan/gateway-restricted-to-lan It has been found that some users, due to a lack of understanding of network security knowledge, accidentally expose proxy and gateway services to the Internet (e.g., configured DMZ). Therefore, these two parameters have been added to restrict proxy and gateway services to only accept devices from the current subnet. These two parameters are enabled by default. - Fix the compatibility between enhanced mode and PPPoE direct dialing. - Support using ETag to avoid downloading duplicate data when requesting external resources. - Surge now supports handling the system's DNS search domain settings. - Other bug fixes and compatibility improvements.

Surge is a network toolbox for power users and a high-performance HTTP/SOCKS5 proxy server. It is capable of intercepting and logging the summary of network traffics, and meanwhile transmitting the traffic to other proxy servers according to the flexible rule system. Multiple proxy protocols are supported including HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS5, SOCK5 over TLS.

Launching the Dashboard, Surge then becomes a sophisticated HTTP debugging tool. You can monitor all recent network requests, adjust proxy rules, rewrite requests and manipulate local DNS mapping.

Dashboard can connect to Surge iOS through Wi-Fi or USB, monitor and analyze network requests on the iOS devices. You can even examine cellular network requests through USB.

HTTPS Decryption

Local DNS Mapping
